The DuPage County Forest Preserve Just Outdid Themselves with This Dramatic Reenactment of a Cicada Mating Ritual

Well…um…I honestly don’t really know what to say here!

Cicadamania has been in full force for weeks now, and just in case anyone needed another reminder of exactly what is happening, the fine folks of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County has dutifully reminded us…but in their own *special* way!

With the filmmaking technology of a 3rd grade classroom, they reenacted the entire life cycle of the cicada — skipping the boring 17 yeas underground and focussing on the good stuff, like when the dude cicadas lay some sweet pickup lines on the girls!

“Hey girl. If I were a fruit fly, I’d land on you first because you’re so sweet!”

Honestly, this is absolutely perfect stuff from the FPDDC and I expect nothing less…nor more…from them! Keep it up!
