95.9 the River
Mackay in the Morning

Mornings, 5:30am-10:00am

Scott Mackay is fast approaching his 30th anniversary on the radio.  Originally from the East Coast, Scott has been from Boston to Denver and every town in between!  "My

first love was radio, just don't tell my first wife...or second?"  He moved to Chicago over 10 years ago and worked
as Mo Driver on the Kevin Matthews Show.  When Kevin moved to Michigan, Mo Driver left the building and Scott Mackay emerged.

Now hosting mornings on 95.9 The River, Scott will wake you up Monday through Friday between 5:30-10am.  "I know it's early, but a 2:30 am alarms sounds just like a 6am alarm...a couple sleep-hits later and I'm on the road to give you the latest water cooler talk, and fun trivia about the great music we play!!!"

"Enjoy the show and remember you are a part of it.  Call anytime, I'll be on the other end!"

Cheers!

Matt Freeman - Morning Show Producer, Mackay in the Mornings  5:30-10am

Born April 1, 1984, Matt Freeman hails from the San Francisco Bay Area, where he was loved and raised by a white, Cleveland Browns fan mom, and a black Republican dad. Reality show, anyone? Matt first fell in love with radio as a junior high kid listening to Al Green for music and Michael Savage for political commentary (see “black republican dad” above). He channeled his passion for the airwaves at NorthCentralCollege in Naperville, IL, majoring in Broadcast Communications and Journalism, spending 4 years at 89.1 WONC-FM as a DJ and Production Director.  How he got to Naperville from the GoldenState is another story (but a good one over a Fat Tire beer. His favorite!)

Matt loves his beautiful bride, Carley, who is the best gift on the planet.

He enjoys spicy food paired with spicy music, under spicy lighting, around spicy people.

See him around with the River Road Crew when he’s not making Scott coffee!
